Captain Ikedichi Iweha, spokesman of 3 Brigade, Nigerian
Army, headquartered in Kano, said six people were rescued during a dawn raid
that led to the arrest of the yet to be identified terrorist.
Those rescued were three women and three toddlers, suspected
to be family members of the man who intelligence gathering revealed has been in
the business of aiding and abating terrorist activities in the North.
Items recovered during the raid that resulted into a gun
duel include five AK 47 rifles, five magazines, and 333 rounds of 7.62mm
special ammunition and various improvised explosive devices.
